Mr. Abhinandan Dhoke, Regional Sales Manager – East, Britannia today addressed our marketing batch of MBA 10-12. He is working in Britannia for the past 11 years and has immense knowledge and vast experience in FMCG industry. He has worked in different functional areas within the organization, so very few people would be better than him to tell us about Britannia as an organization.

Unlike his previous sessions, this was totally an informal question and answer session where he addressed us. He defined various concepts of marketing and operations for us and related them to Britannia which helped us understand the whereabouts of FMCG industry.

He also emphasized two very important aspects of strategic and activation marketing. He also spoke about the distribution cycle of his company and the upstream and downstream logistics and its handling. He gave us insights into the future plan of Britannia including their plans about dairy products.

He suggested us to maintain proper attitude, mindset, competence and willingness to learn. He also asked us to strengthen our analytical and communication skills, which are critical success factors for sales and marketing profession. He also advised us to look into the opportunity for cross-functional exposure and job profile before identifying a potential job opportunity rather than just look into the name, turnover and remuneration factor.

He ended the session by giving a nice anecdote on leadership mentioning, “Leading from front and a leader must demonstrate necessary attribute and skill and set himself as a role model for his peers and juniors.”

He wished us all success in life.
