Chetana Story

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

                                                                                                                        Mother Teresa

Without community service in our society many people would not know the meaning, usefulness, or importance of charity. Serving in your community addresses many grass roots problems that fall through the cracks of government and social agencies. Community service is a very important factor when it comes to bettering our society.

CHETANA – BIBS Students’ initiative-is to create a difference in the lives of underprivileged people with employment training by practically applying the learning imparted to them.
The brainchild came from tea shop nearby BIBS where a higher secondary student was working. Some students of BIBS thought” is that the destiny of that guy or it would have been more superior”. By that time they had formulated an idea that why don’t we trained that guy who belongs to a poor family and give him a chance to enter a new desired world where they love their job.

Subsequently some apprentice are “board the ship CHETANA” with their captain Tanmay Banerjee .The group members of CHETANA took an hard initiative to trained the destitute and helpless fellow to in order to placed them in reputed companies. As the word CHETANA focused on “souls” so the group members are working with their soul to help them up to frame the desire dream dreamt by them.

From Mentor’s Corner:-

“We are very much impressed with the potential apprentices who are very much enthusiastic in pursuing the professional training from all the corporate people and us. All the mentors have highly appreciated the candidates’ efforts during the training because of their interactive session.

Lastly, one thing we have observed is that going out of your way to help someone in need will make us feel better about our self in the long run. Even more significant is the value and importance of community service in our society. Without community service in our society many people would not know the meaning, usefulness, or importance of charity. Serving in our community takes away from the problems that exist in our society and in the world as a whole.” Prof. Deepak Bhattacharyya, Head – CHETANA, BIBS.
