IIM Calcutta BIBS

It was a great opportunity for the Ennovation team to interact and network with fellow entrepreneurship cell members of different colleges at IIM Calcutta on the occasion of E-cell workshop organized by National Entrepreneurship Network.

It was a whole day workshop where other participating institutes included the hosts, IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur, Bengal Engineering & Science University, Institute of Engineering and Management, EIILM, NSHM, IIPM, Heritage Institute of Technology, Praxis Business School, Eastern Institute of Management etc.

The whole objective of this event was interaction of different E-cells on the various programs conducted by the E-cells, exchanging of ideas and sharing of knowledge, capacity building, institutionalizing & scaling up of the cell as a whole, including various functional areas, identifying proper leadership role among E-cell members of a particular institute, programmatic development, marketing & financial management for E-cell, information flow in eco-system and networking within the community.

The main focus of this event was identifying ideas for solution and the detail challenges of E-cells are facing and importance of faculty and student’s role in integrating to drive the cell. And how the impact that we create is important to sustain the cell in the long run with a proper succession planning.

This workshop made us understand the benefits of networking beyond the institute and to begin formulation of Regional E-cell meets. Most of the cells got the opportunity to present their plans and how they have executed it. We were really privileged that our E-cell was rated at par with IIM Cal and IIT Kgp in terms of maturity, planning and execution. We were very happy that the effort which we have put in the last few months to develop the E-cell was actually showing results.
