Global exposure for BIBS students.
Global exposure for BIBS students.
We at Bengal Institute of Business Studies focus on the need for a paradigm shift in the pedagogy of management education, to lend credence and relevance to professional academic delivery in this domain. It is now universally accepted that management education is incomplete without strong bonds with the global business environment and in order to add value to their curriculum and groom their students as per the global Standards. For instance eminent Professor of Marketing and Strategy form the London School of Economics, Dr. Vishal Talwar visited BIBS recently.

While interacting with the Students in a seminar focused on strategic challenges in marketing, Dr. Talwar highlighted several crucial
issues pertaining to marketing like rise of social media, integration of customers within the marketing process among others. Key campaigns like Haagen-Dazs’s Delhi outlet’s hoarding campaign controversy were discussed in the class and all these allowed the students to gain a new insight into the world of marketing.

Another eminent Professor who visited BIBS recently is Dr. Debashish Chakraborty who is Director of business Studies at Central Michigan University, USA. Dr. Chakraborty gave a detailed analysis of the global economic meltdown specifically with the focus on US corporate sector. He shared with the students, his long experience with General Motors and Du-pont chemicals to substantiate his hypothesis.

“This was indeed a great opportunity for us. I could never have dreamt being in the class of a professor who teaches students in LSE; however thanks to the management of BIBS this has been made possible.”
