Mr. Abhijit Mitra the Zonal HR Head of Ernst and Young addressing the Students of BIBS
This Saturday, Mr. Abhijit Mitra the Zonal HR Head of Ernst and Young was there at BIBS interacting with the students of 2nd year MBA batch. The session was very much appreciated by the students and they also requested the guest to visit more to BIBS.
Mr. Mitra began the session with a very informative and beautiful presentation of Ernst and Young which gave the students an overview idea of the organization and its value oriented work culture. Once the presentation was over Mr. Mitra immediately requested to turn off the projection machine and began a one on one interaction with the group of budding professionals.
The interaction was characterized with lot of humor and even more knowledge sharing. The questions and discussion was mainly focused on the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) which is popularly known as Carbon Trading. It is an outcome of the Kyoto Protocol on climate change control framed by the UNFCCC i.e. the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Apart from these, there were questions catering to the curiosity of the students about the inside view of the corporate world. The students were really satisfied by the response by the guest and the approach he followed in explaining the various facets of corporate life, Carbon Trading and many more issues like Values, empathy, ethics, job security and passion. The session was also an eye opener for the students about the opportunities in the consultancy and Carbon Trading.
Talking about BIBS Mr. Mitra said that the institution has done really well since its inception and it is well in the sights of the corporate world. The industry has been closely observing the institute and is really impressed with the type of training facilities BIBS is providing the students with and also the quality of professionals it is contributing to the corporate world is an achievement.
In the end giving a valuable tip to the students he said, “How you motivate yourself is very important?” The students were really pleased with the session and are looking forward for more of such sessions with Mr. Mitra.
