Mr. Abhishek Mukherjee, Cluster Head – Retail, ICICI Securities visited BIBS Campus on 3rd January 2012. He was one of the first speakers for this year in our regular Corporate@Campus program. He is an alumnus of IISWBM with marketing as major and finance as minor specializations and has overall 7-8 years of hardcore industry experience.

The session was totally dedicated to question and answer where the participants asked him with queries pertaining to the expectations of a fresher from the industry vis-à-vis the outcome, roles and responsibilities in his organizations etc. Mr. Mukherjee emphasized on the culture of ICICI as an organization, focused on performance driven achievement related to rapid growth of an individual within the organization.

He also directed us towards understanding the present market and emerging channels of business. He spoke about bottom of pyramid and necessity of catering to the needs of every person, by introducing variants of products and implementing proper strategies. He laid emphasis on the changing market dynamics, market challenges and the importance of achieving sustainable growth through proper penetration of the market including the rural one.

His sharing of knowledge also factored in the innovation prospect, without which the sustainability and longevity of an organization would be questioned. As a head of a cluster, he encourages his team to innovate.

Overall the session was very valuable and really enthralling and lot of learning from each and every one.
