Mr. Manoranjan Pani, General Manager, Amul India addressing BIBS Students
Mr. Manoranjan Pani, General Manager, Amul India is a young and dynamic professional with an immense knowledge. He visited BIBS campus to address the budding managers.
He started the session by making us understand about the corporate world and how it functions. He took us through entire process and functions by which Amul operates.
He justified his discussion by making us do role playing of how to approach a buyer. He picked up students from the class and made them enact as buyers and sales personnel. Then he dwelled upon a unique rule “4*20” – the first important 20 rules for a sales
professional to survive in the market that includes, grooming, presentation skills, etiquette, body language.
He then took us through the fascinating journey of Amul:
- The foundation of Amul.
- The challenges which it faced.
- The success story.
- Lack of advertisement in Amul.
- Present status and future road map.
He signed off with a message for the budding managers mentioning that whatever you do in life, have self confidence, try to be innovative and be positive and to achieve something there is no shortcut.
Overall it was a learning experience and the students also had a clear understanding and practical knowledge about the FMCG Industry and also about Amul in a broader sense.
