“Mr. Pradeep K. Chatterjee, Vice President & Ombudsperson, American Express, American Express Co, Singapore addressed the students of BIBS. He has over 35 years experience with a Fortune 100 global company. He joined American Express in 1976 and has vast and diversified corporate experience. He had been the Chief Credit Officer of the Bank in the Middle East, the Regional Head for Eastern India, the Consumer Banking Head for India and the Regional Ombudsperson for Japan, Australia, Pacific and Asia. His most recent role was to safeguard the Company’s reputation, maintain an ethical and fiduciary culture and ensure compliance with laws and regulations of the region.
Mr. Chatterjee’s topic was on “Values & Ethics” and he emphasized the importance and effectiveness of both the terms in today’s corporate world. He cited several examples where a sudden loss of values in the inherent behavior of the corporate personnel has actually ruined the career of those people. As a professional with so many years of experience, his suggestions towards the students were invaluable and will help the students to execute the right decisions in the crossroads of their lives.”
