Commemorate Launch of a Philanthropic Venture
Kolkata, September 3rd, 2011: Our greatest freedom fighter of all time, Mahatma Gandhi, once averred, "The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems." To entail this approach in today’s society and to reap the true benefits of making a difference in someone’s life that is devoid of enjoying the privileges of the environment they live in, the students of Bengal institute of Business Studies have come up with an initiative. Chetna, our very own Community Service’s launch takes place in the midst of stalwarts from different walks of life who had imparted us with intensive knowledge and extensive training during our summer internship programme held at their esteemed organization. The event takes place on 3rd September, 2011 at Shishir Manch from 11am – 12:30pm.
Our benevolent project, Chetna, comes with a promising agenda towards imparting free of cost professional training and job assistance to the unemployed educated mass of people. Chetna is a unique concept in its own as it is aided with availing training from different stalwarts from the industry itself. This in itself is a great learning towards achieving something greater. India's long tradition of shared responsibility and generosity are a great reminder that we are all trustees of whatever good fortune life has given us. The point today is that are we ready to "forget ourselves" and be genuinely interested in the welfare of others? Are we willing to be tolerant and kind to others, understand attentively and silently to their needs? If we are, we are an excellent bunch of human species ready for achieving great success in life, not to mention an ever-increasing personal happiness and joy.
The launch of Chetna is observed on the very same day, the students of BIBS extends their gratitude to people from the industry who have been a great source of support towards making a remarkable difference in the lives of the budding professionals. Being management students, the most vital aspect of our life comes with enriching our lives with a blend of aligning with others. The essential part of clubbing human values with that of management is to give back the society what you intend to get from them. This holds true in the lives of every person who wants to promote human welfare and intensify the well-being and love in humans to the apex of making the world a better place to live in. The atmosphere and fervor that everyone present in the event are going to experience would indisputably create a different set of exhilaration and experience.
